2026 Reading Challenge Part One
Hello and welcome back to Beauty In The Library. I am your host, Tabby. Today, we are going to talk about a 2026 reading challenge. My book group gave us a template just for fun, and I thought, why not share my picks for the 2026 with y’all? Now, I have never done a yearly reading challenge, so this will be my first one, so please wish me luck. This will be separated into 5 parts because there are 100 books, and I want to make sure you get as much info on them as you can. And there will be quotes if available. 1.the first book on my 2026 is called Prey Upon Me by Nina Carpenter.
This book is about Anna, who escaped an abusive relationship, and while applying for a job, she is held hostage by a masked robber named Knox. She escapes, but did she escape him? “ I’m not just surviving anymore. I have something to live for. Someone.”
2. By Order of the King by Zoe Scotland.
This follows Isla, who is forced to marry the heir of a rival clan, so she decides to run. When she runs, she encounters Ewan. Will they learn to survive together?
3. The Vixens Lead by Tate James
this follows a young women named kit or aka the fox who is a internatinal known thief who also has special abilities. “Caleb idolizes Director Pierre. He looked so torn between his hero worship and your provocative outfit I thought his batteries were malfunctioning.”
4. Things i should have known by claire lazebnik
this book is about sisterhood and living with Autism. Chloe decides that her older sister who has autism needs a boyfriend so she sets out to help her sister find love.
5. A Study In Drowning By Ava Reid
Effy gets a chance to redesign her favorite authors estate. while she redesigns the estate she meets preston a man who is trying to expose the author as a fraud what will they find out? “The only reason anything matters is because it ends,” he says. “I wouldn’t hold you so tightly now if I thought we could be here forever.”
6. Message In The Bones By Dawn Merriman.
Gabby who can relive history by touching things. then skeletal remains are discovered at a construction site. then she meets detective lucas who is intrigued by gabby. will they find the killer? “You’re stronger than you think. God’s got your back. Just follow him and it will all work out.”

this is about a women who hit someone on a motorcycle who ends up suing her. he ends up embarrasing her by saying they should have sex on live tv. will they end up together?

this book is about a women named Dove who has to prove that she is innocent of her ex husbands murder. will she be convicted or will they find the real killer?

Maggie has magic that she cant control. then she meets griffin the kings champion. what chain of events will there encounter face?
14. When He Dares By Suzanne Wright
